About The Gutter Report

The Gutter Report is run by Compass Camper LLC, a marketing company registered in Oregon. We are not a gutter contractor and we do not perform gutter work.

We run this site to connect homeowners with licensed, insured gutter contractors. When you send a quote request, it goes to a licensed contractor who can set up your free quote. We get paid a fee for that hand-off. The contractor pays it, or a lead service does. You never do, and the fee does not change your quote.

We also publish our own research on gutters. We do not sell gutters and we do not install them. So we have no reason to tell you that you need work you do not need. On most of our pages, the honest answer saves you money. We would rather print that than the version that pays us more.

A contractor who gets homeowner requests through this site is expected to:

• Hold a current contractor license in their state, where the state requires one
• Carry current liability insurance
• Give a written warranty on the work they finish
• Give you a clear written estimate, broken out line by line, before starting

Those are plain yes-or-no requirements, not a ranking. We do not rate contractors. We do not claim to have judged anyone's work. Ask us for a contractor's license number and we will give it to you.

• We do not publish customer reviews or star ratings. We have no real ones to publish.
